Before School Program
We are excited to announce a new partnership with Right At School! Right At School is a nationally recognized before school enrichment provider.
Starting August 12,.2024, Right At School will offer the Before School Program to students in kindergarten through fifth grades. (The City of Reno- Sierra Kids will no longer be providing services). The WCSD 21st CCLC/Team Up program will continue to offer the grant funded after school program.
Program Details:
- The program operates Monday through Friday.
- Before School Program starts at 7:00am.
- School breaks and summer program options may be available (TBA).
Families will be able to work with Right At School to create flexible monthly schedules to support their busy lives. Create your own monthly schedule by choosing 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week. There will be discounts for Siblings, Military Families (10% discount) and Free and Reduced Lunch families (20% discount).
Right At School provides families flexibility in enrollment options and a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged while they participate. Students will engage in a variety of activities including dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and more. Students will be provided with a healthy snack daily.
The program also features an enrichment curriculum in the form of two-week units. Examples of enrichment units include:
- Getting Down to Business: students are introduced to money and commerce.
- Icky Experiments: students experiment with sticky substances to learn chemistry.
- Variety Show: students rehearse and perform individual talent acts.
Right At School will provide Family Information Nights at the start of the year. Dates will be announced in July. This information nigh will provide an overview of their programs, and to answer any questions parents may have.
